Administration




The Administrative Division consists of five staff members who each perform different support functions. The Chief Deputy is second in command and performs the duties of the Sheriff in his absence. Responsibilities also include direct supervision of all Sheriff Office employees and is required to make personnel decisions as directed. The records section processes all reports and records for both criminal and civil departments. The Sheriff's administrative assistant answers phone calls for the Sheriff, Chief Deputy, and Investigations. She also enters in reports turned in by the Patrol Division. The Deputy Administrator is responsible for the development and maintenance of the budget. Responsibilities also include purchasing supplies and equipment, maintaining the bond account, supervising all sex offenders registered in Lee County, and assisting the Criminal Investigative Division with interviews requiring truth verification and internet sex crimes against children.
