The Uniformed Patrol Division is currently comprised of 25 certified law enforcement officers manning four 12 hour shifts. Two Captains (Watch Commanders) oversee four shifts respectively. Each shift operates with a Lieutenant (Supervisor), Sergeant, Corporal, and three Deputies who are assigned to one of four patrol areas in the county.
The Uniform Patrol Division patrols and answers all emergency and non-emergency calls for service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and is responsible for enforcing Federal, State, and County laws and ordinances in the unincorporated areas of Lee County which consists of 355 square miles and a population of 35,000.

The Uniform Patrol Division is the first line of law and order in Lee County. The primary objective of the Patrol Division is to preserve life and property, maintain peace and order, provide a timely response to calls for service, and maintain a visible law enforcement presence. The activities of the Patrol Division are diverse. They include crimes in progress, thefts, burglaries, crimes against persons, family violence, missing persons, lost children, assistance with other agencies, residential and business alarms, noise complaints, and animal problems. Deputies generate written reports and conduct initial investigations into major crimes and often complete investigations of less serious crimes.
